Campus High School to Host Mock Crash Event on April 3

Campus High School is set to host a Mock Crash Event on Wednesday, April 3, from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM in the west parking lot. The event, organized in collaboration with FCCLA, CHS Drama, Sedgwick County Fire, EMS, and other first responders, aims to educate students on the serious consequences of impaired and distracted driving.

As part of an FCCLA STAR project, the mock crash will feature a dramatized accident scene followed by a presentation and informational session. The goal is to provide juniors and seniors with a realistic and emotional perspective on the dangers of unsafe driving behaviors.

Students who choose to attend will be excused from their fourth block class. Those who opt out will remain in class, and students whose families prefer they not be in school during the event may be excused with parental permission.

This impactful event provides an opportunity for students to witness firsthand the dangers of impaired and distracted driving. By working alongside local emergency responders, Campus High School is dedicated to enhancing student awareness and promoting safer driving habits in the community.
